I did so, and found the game to be a good level of challenge my victories were close, and I wasn't losing units at too punishing a rate. I noticed that on starting a new game, it actually encourages you to pick the easy mode for your first campaign. I'm a fan of strategy games and I liked the roguelike structure and its deep meta, but the difficulty, coupled with the grim aesthetic and psychological distress that your troops go through, put me off.Ī week ago I decided to pick the game back up.
